Although my work is not directly shaped by other artists, I hold great admiration for two legendary painters: Salvador Dalí and Vincent van Gogh. First Steps into Art:
Six years prior, my artistic odyssey reignited serendipitously when my mother unearthed an old sketchbook. As a child, I possessed an ardor for drawing, and upon reembracing it, I became instantly captivated by the chiaroscuro of black and white. Since that pivotal moment, I have immersed myself in an array of techniques, migrated to acrylics, and ultimately to oil paints, where I unearthed my true passion—the vivacious essence residing within colors.
The feedback I garner from those who behold my creations constitutes a pivotal facet of my journey. Each reaction, be it laudatory or critical, signifies that I have succeeded in stirring an emotion within the observer. I relish witnessing how individuals respond divergently to my pieces—some are instantaneously enamored, others are disconcerted—but universally, they experience something profound. There exist two canvases of which I am exceptionally proud, wherein I portray my post-traumatic odyssey: one is a self-portrait embellished with figures mirroring my likeness in monochrome, and the other captures me during a paroxysm of anxiety, as photographed by my wife. These artworks convey my most intimate sentiments and permit viewers to connect directly with my experiences.
