Willful Blindness in Primary Colors | The Dance Between Hiding and Revealing
Sold
'Willful Blindness in Primary Colors' shows three blonde women in black against a vivid red ground, each with her eyes covered by a band in a different primary color: red, blue and yellow. Their hands adjust and hold the blindfolds, as if the blindness were chosen rather than imposed. It is a pop art take on 'see no evil': three figures deciding what not to see, in bold color and a clean graphic line. The dance between hiding and revealing is the subject, and the surrounding red allows no escape from it. Painted in 2019 in a horizontal format, 120 × 80 cm, oil on canvas, signed with a certificate of authenticity. Sold, and kept as part of Eliran Bar-On's archive. Pop art works are available in the gallery.
