'Mosaic of a Gaze' breaks the face of a woman with black hair gathered up into geometric planes of warm and cool color, against a blue ground from which red and yellow lines radiate like rays. Each plane carries another part of the figure, but the green eyes stay whole and piercing and hold the whole mosaic in one gaze. The inspiration is cubist, but the result is an architecture of emotion: formal order arranging what feeling scatters. A large work from 2018, 80 × 120 cm, oil on canvas, signed with a certificate of authenticity. The painting has been sold and is kept here as part of Eliran Bar-On's archive.
