'The Little Prince's Last Bow' is a portrait of Yehonatan Geffen in a wide-brimmed hat, hands pressed together as in prayer or a bow, and a gaze turned upward, against a quiet grey ground. At the bottom of the canvas, on a yellow band, the Hebrew words 'you were a wonderful audience', the line that closes a show and here closes a whole life of words. The painting is a tribute to the man who wrote for children and adults, and it touches without prettifying: the warm skin, the shadows on the face, the bare hands. A large work from 2024, 120 × 150 cm, oil on canvas, signed with a certificate of authenticity. The painting has been sold and is kept here as part of the series of Israeli figures in Eliran Bar-On's collection.
